Everything you need to know about our Urgent Courier Service and Same Day Parcel Delivery operations.

Urgent Services & Operations

What exactly is an Urgent Courier Service?

An Urgent Courier Service is a premium logistics solution designed for time-critical shipments. Unlike standard mail which passes through sorting hubs, our service dedicates a specific vehicle to your consignment. From the moment we collect your item, it is driven directly to the delivery address without diversion. This is the fastest method of transporting goods by road and is essential for legal deadlines, medical emergencies, and production line halts.

How does Same Day Parcel Delivery work?

Our Same Day Parcel Delivery process is streamlined for speed. 1. Booking: You provide the pickup and delivery Eircodes. 2. Dispatch: We locate the nearest driver to the pickup point (usually within a 15-20km radius). 3. Collection: The driver arrives, typically within 60 minutes. 4. Transit: The driver travels directly to the destination. 5. Delivery: The item is handed over and a digital signature is captured instantly. No hubs, no overnight storage.

What is the difference between "Same Day" and "Next Day"?

"Next Day" delivery involves consolidation. Your parcel is collected, taken to a warehouse, sorted overnight, and delivered the next day on a multi-drop route. Same Day Parcel Delivery eliminates the warehousing step. It is a point-to-point service. If you book at 10:00 AM for a 200km journey, your goods will likely arrive by 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM that very same day.

Do you offer Urgent Parcel Delivery on weekends and Bank Holidays?

Yes. The demand for Urgent Parcel Delivery often peaks when other businesses are closed. We operate a 24/7/365 service. We can collect and deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, and all Bank Holidays. Please note that services outside of standard business hours (Mon-Fri, 08:00-18:00) may attract an out-of-hours surcharge, which will be clearly quoted to you before booking.

Vehicles & What We Carry

What types of vehicles do you use for Courier Services?

We maintain a diverse fleet to ensure we can handle any Courier Service requirement efficiently:
Motorbikes: For documents and small packets in heavy city traffic.
Small Vans (Caddy/Berlingo): For small boxes and parcels up to 400kg.
Large Vans (Transit/Sprinter): For up to 3 or 4 pallets and payloads of 1200kg.
Luton Vans: Featuring tail-lifts for easy loading of heavy items without a forklift.
Artic/Trucks: Available upon special request for bulk haulage.

Can you transport fragile or high-value items via Urgent Parcel Delivery?

Yes, and it is actually the safest way to do so. Because our Urgent Parcel Delivery service uses dedicated vehicles, your fragile item is not placed on a conveyor belt, thrown into a cage, or stacked under heavier boxes. It is placed securely in the van at collection and not touched again until delivery. This minimal handling significantly reduces the risk of damage compared to standard freight networks.

Do you transport hazardous materials or medical samples?

Yes, we have drivers trained in ADR (Hazardous Goods) awareness and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) for medical items. We frequently transport pathology samples, surgical instruments, and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals as part of our Urgent Courier Service. Please inform our booking team immediately if your item requires specific handling protocols so we can assign the appropriately certified driver.

Booking, Payment & Tracking

How do I pay for a Same Day Parcel Delivery?

We offer flexible payment options. Private individuals and one-off business customers can pay securely via Credit Card or Debit Card (Stripe/PayPal) at the time of booking. For regular business users, we offer 30-day credit accounts (subject to approval) which allow for consolidated monthly invoicing and streamlined booking of Same Day Parcel Delivery jobs.

Is tracking available for my shipment?

Yes. Transparency is a key pillar of our service. As soon as your job is booked, you will receive a tracking link via email or SMS. This provides real-time GPS visibility of the vehicle carrying your Urgent Parcel Delivery. You will also receive an automated notification the moment the delivery is completed, including the name and digital signature of the recipient.

Do you deliver to the UK and Europe?

Yes, we provide dedicated Courier Service into the UK and mainland Europe. Since Brexit, this requires specific customs paperwork (Commercial Invoice). Our team can advise on the requirements, but please note that while we provide the transport, customs delays are outside our direct control. We use direct ferry routes (Dublin-Holyhead, Rosslare-Fishguard/Cherbourg) to ensure the fastest possible transit.
